Wilma Tester
Wilma Tester, 99, of Wapakoneta, died 8:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Vancrest of St. Marys.
She was born June 11, 1923, in Washington Township, Auglaize County, Ohio, the daughter of W. Arthur and Mahilda (Katterheinrich) Schultz. She married Howard Tester on May 24, 1947, at the First Evangelical and Reformed Church in New Knoxville; he preceded her in death on November 20, 1977.
She is survived by her daughter, Annabelle Zwiebel of Wapakoneta; by her grandchildren: Jenny (Rick) Axe of Wapakoneta; Jaime (Chad) Metzger of Wapakoneta; Kristi (Damon) Martin of Marysville; Dan (Brandi) Zwiebel of Wapakoneta; Josh (Jennifer) Tester of Wapakoneta. She is survived by her great-grandchildren: Dillon Axe; Abigail Metzger; Nathan Metzger; Alyssa Zwiebel; Kaelyn Zwiebel; Olivia Tester; Camden Tester.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Howard Tester; by her son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Cathy (Archer) Tester; by a grandson, Lance Zwiebel; by her sister, Dorothy Nuss.
Wilma attended the Chapel School, a one room school in Washington Twp. and was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys. She enjoyed quilting, vegetable gardening and baking. She was well known for her peanut butter pie.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, St. Marys, the Reverend Rhonda Hainer, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:00-11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to Everheart Hospice.
