After 29 years with St. Henry Schools, superintendent Julie Garke will retire at the end of July.
School board members on Monday night approved Garke's resignation. Garke has been in an administrative role since 2001. She gave her compliments to administrators, teachers and the community. [More]

ROCKFORD - Parkway school board members on Monday elected to transfer $1 million into a special account for an athletic building project.
They also accepted the resignation of head football coach Joel Henkle effective immediately.
MARIA STEIN - Marion Local school board members on Monday night accepted the retirement of elementary school principal Nick Wilker.
The board also approved an adjustment of the pay scale for several non-teaching positions by 6% to bring wages in line with other area schools.
