Dorothy Ann Krites
Dorothy Ann Krites, 88, of Saint Marys, died 10:40 P.M. Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home in Spencerville.
She was born February 19, 1934, in Auglaize County, the daughter of Adrian and Pearl (Elmers) Engel.
She married Richard Krites on October 3, 1954, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moulton. They celebrated 67 years of marriage before his death on October 17, 2021.
She is survived by her daughters: Doretta Nale of New Knoxville; Diana Zink of Wapakoneta; Donelda Gibson of Jacksonville, North Carolina; Dorabelle "Dori" (Steve) Kysenceder of Wapakoneta, and a son-in-law, Bill Martin of Westerville.
She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren: Stephanie Brown, Andrew Gibson, Robert Nale, Luke Zink, Zac Martin, Brad Nale, Garrett Gibson, Mark Zink, Andrea Martin, Matt Zink, Monica Gibson, Alex Martin, Tyler Kysenceder and Devin Kysenceder. She is also survived by 3 step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 7 step-great-grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings: Robert Engel of Wapakoneta; Carolyn (Donald) Henschen of Saint Marys; by a sister-in-law, Letha Bair of Saint Marys.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her in-laws, Clifford and Vada Krites; by her husband, Richard; by her daughter, Drusilla Martin; her siblings: Ruth (Art) Lange; Marie (John) Heintz; Evelyn (Elmer) Wagner; Harold (Wanda) Engel; sisters-in-law Barbara Engel and Shirley Ann Engel; her sister-in-law, Marvalee (Irvin) Rupert; brother-in-law Norman Bair; by two sons-in-law, Steve Nale and Paul D. Zink.
Dorothy was a 1952 graduate of Blume High School. She was a baptized member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moulton and was a homemaker. She had also worked at Detjen Grain, K-Mart, and Scranton's Grocery in Saint Marys. She loved attending church at Trinity and spending time with her church family. She was a great gardener and enjoyed picking berries. She also liked to do word search puzzles.
Funeral rites will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, December 30, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moulton, Vicar Deb Monnin, officiant.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to either Trinity Lutheran Church or Grand Lake Hospice. Friends may also call one hour prior to the funeral rites on Friday at the church.
