Jim Welch
Jim Welch, 78, from Fernandina Beach, Florida, peacefully passed away on January 20, 2023, at Memorial Hospice Care.
He was born on March 26, 1944, in Flint, Michigan to Jim and Harriett (DeCamp) Welch. In 1992 he married Carol Amato, who survives in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
Jim is survived by his children: Jim (Ronda) Welch of Flint, Michigan, Greg Welch and Debbie Welch of Florida; his step-children: Chris Amato of Charleston, South Carolina, Becky Amato, David (Lisa) Amato and Kerry (Miranda) Amato, all of Fernandina Beach, Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sister, Janet (Bruce) Cromwell of Celina.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth.
Jim previously owned and operated Welch's Restaurant of Celina.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Florida.
