Cathy Chaney
Cathy M. Chaney, 72, of St. Marys, died 8:06 A.M. Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born February 7, 1950, in Celina, the daughter of Herman and Rose (Donovan) Peggs. She married Charles Chaney on November 6, 1957, in St. Marys; he survives at the residence.
She is also survived by her daughters: Lisa (Bud) Davenport of St. Marys; Tammy (Paul) Wierwille of Wapakoneta; Becky (Rob) Lauth of St. Marys. She is survived by her grandchildren: Alycia Lykins; Cole Lykins; Jess Wierwille; Ryan Wierwille; Rachael Wierwille; Bailey Lauth; Landon Lauth; and by 6 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings: Billy Peggs of Bedford, Texas; Sue Peggs of Celina; David Peggs of Montezuma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by a granddaughter, Erika Lykins; by her siblings: Jean Werling; Mary Ann Short; Larry Peggs; Sharon Makley; Donnie Peggs; Nancy Fowler; Dale Peggs.
Cathy attended high school in Celina and retired as a Surgery Technician at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital after 30 years of service. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and reading. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
