Mark Gilbert
Mark K. Gilbert, of St. Marys, formerly of Celina, passed away February 18, 2023, at Vancrest Nursing Home in St. Marys. He was 63.
He fought a rare autoimmune disease called Polyangiitis with Granulomatosis (also known as Wegener's Granulomatosis) since 1996.
Mark was born September 18, 1959, in Durand, MI.
He is survived by his son Mark Gilbert II, of North Augusta, SC, and his ex-wife, Carol Karbowiak Gilbert, of St. Marys. Also surviving are his brothers George Gilbert II, of Chesterfield Twp., MI: John (Denise) Gilbert, of Columbus, MI: and sisters Vivian (John) Kaminski, of Richmond, MI: Jackie Gilbert, of Mt. Clemens, MI: and Susan (John) Woutersz, of Chesterfield Twp., MI. He was preceded in death by his parents George Gilbert, of Chesterfield Twp., MI: and Patricia (Rush) Gilbert, of Chesterfield Twp., MI.
He was a 1978 graduate of Anchor Bay High School in Michigan. He was employed as a nuclear medicine technician at Mallinckrodt Medical, and later worked as a truck driver for Williams Manufacturing.
Services will be private. Arrangements made by Leaf Cremation Services in Columbus, OH.
