Fog that has been developing early this morning will spread northeast. The thickest fog is reducing visibility to one mile or less with some locally dense patches. Motorists should exercise extra caution, slow down, and allow extra time to reach your destination.
Correction: The two commercial properties that burned March 1 in downtown Rockford has not been ruled an arson. A barn fire on Frysinger Road near Rockford on March 4 has been classified as arson. A clarification story appears in the May 3rd edition.
