Erma Brunswick
Erma R. Brunswick age 96 of Maria Stein, Ohio died at 4:55 AM on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Elmwood Assisted Living, New Bremen.
She was born on November 26, 1926 in St. Rose to the late Bernard & Clara (Holdheide) Luttmer. She married Robert J. Brunswick on October 16, 1948 in St. Rose Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on January 14, 2015.
She is survived by children David & Elaine Brunswick, Celina, Mary Jane Kaylor, Minster, and Dean & Jane Brunswick, Osgood, 5 grandchildren: Austin & Karissa Kaylor, Jonathan & Michelle Kaylor, Dustin, Cameron & Elizabeth Brunswick & Aaron Brunswick and fiancée Savannah Albers, great grandchildren Carson, Adalynn, Jack, Asher, Clark, Ainsley & Melanie Kaylor and Ellie Brunswick, in-laws Pauline Luttmer, Dr. Wilferd & Verna Brunswick, Beverly Hills, FL, Madonna Brunswick, Coldwater, Beatrice Flaherty, Cincinnati, Art & Dorothy Brunswick, Beavercreek, also numerous nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by grandchildren; Meredith & Matthew Brunswick, brothers & sisters; Wilbert Luttmer, Mercedes & Lawrence Poeppelman, Leonard & Delores Luttmer, Bernard & Marie Luttmer, Twin sister Norma & Werner Stammen, Alfred Luttmer, Norma & Virgil Arkenberg, in-laws: Melvin & Mildred Brunswick, Rita & Frank Tumbush, Wilma Brunswick, Richard & Rita Brunswick, Mary Catherine Brunswick, Joyce Brunswick, Ed & Ruth Goubeaux, John Brunswick, Michael Flaherty.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality of the church. He worked at Buckeye Overall Company in Coldwater before having children and was a stay-at-home mother caring for her children. Erma enjoyed bingo cards and watching the Cincinnati Reds. Erma was a good cook and especially known for her delicious Coconut Cream Pie and loved being with her family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, July 17, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein with Rev. Matt Jozefiak celebrant. Burial honors will take place in St. John Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 16, 2023 and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grand Lake Hospice, Our House in St. Rose and Mercer County Aktion Club in honor of Erma's granddaughter Meredith.
