St. Henry man killed in wreck with train
From staff reports
A 26-year-old St. Henry man was killed after a train struck the truck he was driving on Saturday morning in Randolph County, Indiana.
After being extracted from a 2004 Ford F-150, Tristan Fullenkamp was transported to Reid Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to a Randolph County Sheriff's Office news release.
The crash occurred at about 8:10 a.m. Saturday. Fullenkamp was stopped at a railroad crossing on County Road 400 East as an eastbound train passed, an initial investigation shows.
After the train had passed, Fullenkamp reportedly proceeded south onto the tracks, in front of a westbound train. The train struck the truck and pushed it three-fourths of a mile to the west, according to the release.
The incident remains under investigation.
