James "Jim" A. Stoner, 71, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on September 14, 2023 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.

He was born June 17, 1952 in Celina to the late George Franklin and Frances (Shellabarger) Stoner. On October 9, 1976 he married Cheryl (Bollinger) Stoner and she survives in Celina.

Other survivors include his daughter, Sarah Tucker, Continental, Ohio; brothers and sisters, Donna J. (Raymond) May, Celina, John F. (Bobbi) Stoner, Celina, Deanna L. (David Frey) Miller, Harpster, Ohio, Jerry D. (Angie) Stoner, Celina and Thomas M. (Julie) Stoner, Raleigh, North Carolina; and three granddaughters, Charlotte, Georgia and Savannah.

Jim was a 1970 graduate of Celina Senior High School. He spent his lifetime farming, where he enjoyed raising hogs, sheep and Angus cattle. Additionally, he worked at Mersman Furniture Factory and retired from Crown Equipment in Celina after many years of service. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Church of God, Mercer County Cattlemen's Association and Farm Bureau. He loved working at the Cattleman's tent at the Mercer County Fair. He also enjoyed, fishing, hunting, trapping, campfires around the pond, driving his gator and spending quality with his three granddaughters, who loved their "Pa".

Visitation hours will be from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Mt. Carmel Church of God, 2493 Carmel Church Rd., Celina, Ohio with Pastor Scott Rowe officiating; where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Wabash, Ohio.
