He went on to work at Crown Equipment Corp., the former STAMCO, Lyons Electric, and Mesco Electric before working at Dickman Supply in Sidney where he retired in 2011. Jerry had been a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen where he was in the Lamplighters group, and he also belonged to the former New Bremen Men's Garden Club and the New Bremen Jaycees. He was a member of the New Bremen American Legion, the New Bremen Athletic Boosters, and had played on the Wint's softball team. Jerry loved to watch sports on television, and travel with Cindy, especially to their 'happy place,' Bear Lake, Michigan.
