Library renewal levy on Nov. ballot

Coldwater Public Library levy

By Georgia Rindler
COLDWATER - A renewal levy for the Coldwater Public Library will be on the Nov. 7 general election ballot.
The 0.5-mil operating levy is projected to generate approximately $77,325 per year.
Owners of a $100,000 home would continue to pay $14 annually, according to the Mercer County Auditor's Office.
The library's fiscal officer, Jennifer Eyink, in an email said the levy was first placed on the ballot in 2014 after the Public Library Fund was reduced by approximately 25% by the state of Ohio.
The levy monies are used for general operating costs such as books, programs, materials, furnishings and maintenance.
