Elmer J. Quinter, age 91, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at the Onalaska Care Center.

He was born June 29, 1932, to Henry and Florence (Hasselman) Quinter in Cranberry Prairie, Ohio. Elmer married Shirley Fleck on May 12, 1956, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Ohio. He proudly served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Shirley; children, Jeff (Mary) Quinter, Georgia Ann (Ken) Schmocker, Brenda (Steve) Dolezel, Terry (Kami) Quinter and Deborah (Terry) Deaver; grandchildren, Elisa (Jay) Englund, Amber (Travis) Sauter, Jerod (Melissa) Quinter, Ethan (Abby) Quinter, Tyler Schmocker, Ryan (Sandy) Schmocker, Jerod (Abbey) Schmocker, Matthew (Justine) Dolezel, Kyle Dolezel, Brandi (Logan) Fletcher, Brooke (Bailey) Valencia, Jake Quinter, McKenna (Grant) Quinter, Tori (Zack) Pagenkopf and Tayler (Garth) Woodrick; and 19 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa; granddaughter, Teegan; sisters, Bernice and Betty; and brother, Lavern.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Necedah. Father Wesley Janowski will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Family and friends are invited for visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Wednesday.
