Pauline Kohler
Pauline (Quinter) Kohler, age 96, of Botkins, OH died on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at 11:30am, at home with her family.
She was born on October 17, 1927 in Cranberry Prairie, OH. She was the daughter of Joseph and Philomena (Huwer) Quinter. On November 29, 1951 she married Leon Kohler who preceded her in death on July 10, 1990.
Also preceding her in death were daughter Elaine Kohler on March 13, 1977, son Daniel Kohler on March 3, 2018, a son-in-law Randy Dammeyer on October 5, 2023 and 13 siblings.
Survivors include her children, Ann (Steve) Hoying of Minster OH, Jan (Ray) Geraci of Allentown NJ, Karen Dammeyer of Celina OH, Mike (Ruth) Kohler of Botkins OH, Marie (Chris) Phillips of Alexandria OH, and Ellen Kohler of Huntsville AL; 27 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren; one brother Maurice Quinter and one sister-in-law Annie Kohler, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Pauline was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Botkins OH. There she belonged to the Alter Rosary Ladies Sodality, and was a coordinator for the prayer line, praying for one hour a week in the Adoration Chapel for 19 years. Pauline loved to crochet, make quilts, do oil and watercolor painting, make puzzles, and spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 3-7pm or on Wednesday, November 29 from 9-10am at Eley Funeral home, 1102 Lincoln Avenue, Wapakoneta, OH 45895.
A Catholic funeral mass will be held at 10:30am Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Botkins, OH, with Father Sean Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception cemetery in Botkins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Masses, Alter Rosary Sodality, Right to Life, or the charity of the donor's choice.
