Mary Fisher
Saturday evening, December 16, 2023, Mary (Ayette) Fisher, age 95 of Montezuma, Ohio left this earth to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ at Briarwood Village, Coldwater Ohio.
She was born March 2nd, 1928 in Versailles, Ohio to the late Leonard Ayette and Dorothy (Barga) Ayette.
She is survived by her son, Ron (Shirley) Fisher; her 2 grandchildren Kelli (Kris) Parrish and Brad (Alisha) Fisher; her 3 great grandchildren, Ebony & Boyd Fisher, Libby Parrish; sister in law Margaret Ayette; half sister Gloria "Gay" Hussey.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Fisher; brother Paul Ayette; in-laws, Harold and Ethel Fisher; brother and sister in law Vernon (Marion) Dunstan.
Mary graduated Valedictorian from Palestine High School in 1946. She married Paul Fisher August 26th, 1950 who passed away in 2007. She attended college at Ohio Northern and Wright State University. She was employed at Citizens Bank in Celina for 27 years, and was the Summit Street branch manager for 17 years.
Upon retiring she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, crocheting, working in her garden and volunteering. Mary volunteered thousands of hours of her time to Mercer County Council on Aging in Celina, Coldwater Hospital and Briarwood Village. She was awarded Mercer County Outstanding Senior Citizen in 2009. She was a member of Christian Mother at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and a Board member of Senior Citizens of Celina, Ohio. Mary enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had a strong faith in Jesus and was always looking for ways to help her family, friends, and community.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Friday, Dec 22nd at 10:30 am with burial following at Burge Cemetery in Montezuma, Ohio.
Visiting hours Thursday evening 3:00-7:00pm or Friday morning 9:00-10:00am at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater, Ohio.
