Larry Crouse
Larry Crouse, 76, of St. Marys, OH Sunday died Jan. 7, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in Lima, OH from injuries due to an auto accident that occurred in August 2023.
He was born June 6, 1947, in Celina, the son of Richard and Marian (Abbott) Crouse. He married Penny (Freytag) Crouse on November 22, 2019 and she survives.
He is also survived by: his daughter Denise (Bill) Jones of Chicago, Ill. by his 3 grandchildren: Michael (Paola) of Madison, AL, Maggie and Natalie of Chicago, IL; by his sister, Janet Schmidt of St. Marys, OH; by his sisters-in-law: Dottie (Mike) Baker, St. Marys, OH; Jackie (Bobby) Henning, St. Marys, OH; Tonya Coldiron, St. Marys, OH; Leslie (Joey) Rochele of Lawrenceburg, TN; Brothers-in-law: Mike (Barbie) Freytag of Murphysburo, TN; Ryan Freytag of Murpysburo, TN; Mike (Jenny) Eberle of St. Marys, OH; by Mother-in-law: Lynne Freytag of Lawrenceburg, TN; by many nieces and nephews; by his former wife, Becky Crouse of Niles, IL.
He was preceded in death by: his parents and his brother, Paul Crouse.
Larry was a 1965 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked at Goodyear and retired from JTDM Hospital in St. Marys. In addition, he entertained the community as an auctioneer. He was an avid sports fan and during his free time you'd find him at garage sales, flea markets, and toy shows. Larry made a deal with his brother to donate their bodies to science, hoping that something good can be learned from dying. He requested no services, no flowers, no goodbyes - but rather, "see you later."
