* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* Until 1100 AM EDT.
* At 826 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.

* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across parts of the area this morning, possibly extending into early afternoon. This may result in bands of heavier rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.

Ronald Wicker
Ronald "Wick" L. Wicker, Jr., 54, (formerly of St. Marys, Ohio) departed this world on Jan. 21, 2024, at 11:11 p.m., at his residence in Huber Heights, Ohio. He peacefully passed away surrounded by the warmth of his home and the love of his wife and daughter.
He was born on March 21, 1969, in St. Marys, Ohio, to Ronald Lee and Lana Kay (Chiles) Wicker, Sr., Ron later married Aimee Miller on February 15, 1997, in New Bremen, Ohio, and she survives.
A graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1988), Ronald worked as a welder for the Minster Machine Co. and in die maintenance for AAP Corp. in St. Marys.
Survivors include his daughter, Alyssa (Victoria) Wicker of Indianapolis, Indiana, his mother Lana Wicker of St. Marys, Ohio, his brother Tim (Susan) Wicker of New Bremen, Ohio, and his sister Angela (Leroy) Ginter of St. Marys, Ohio. He is also survived by sister-in-law Lori (Jeff Wilson) Froning and brother-in-laws Jason Maurer of Coldwater, Ohio, Tim (Theresa) Maurer of New Bremen, Ohio, and Joe Maurer of Celina, Ohio. He is also survived by nieces and a nephew: Ashley (Matt) Tangeman, Shay (Cody) Cagle, Rachel (James) Harsh, Levi (Alyssa Magoto) Ginter, and Samantha (David) Stephens. Additionally, he is remembered by his mother and father-in law, Paul and Shirley Maurer of New Knoxville, Ohio. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ron bravely fought against cancer, showing strong determination and courage throughout his battle. Even in the tough times, he stayed positive and kept his humor. We'll always remember and cherish his bravery in facing this challenge. An avid sports fan, he was a die-hard supporter of St. Marys Roughrider football, and enjoyed attending the games with his friends. He was also a big fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Browns. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend with a great sense of humor.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Pastor Bev Hurlburt will officiate the services.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until just before the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Friends and family are welcome to join, share stories, and pay their respects during these times.
