Harold Riethman
Harold E. "Harry" Riethman, age 76 of Minster, Ohio, died on Friday, February 2, 2024 at his home in Minster.
He was born on May 13, 1947 in Minster, Ohio to the late Edwin H. & Dorothy C. (Steinemann) Riethman. He married Diane M. Borchers on September 27, 1969 in St. Michaels Church, Fort Loramie. She survives in Minster.
He is also survived by daughters and husbands: Chris & Travis Gaerke, Cincinnati; Gail Pavelschak, Dublin; and Leslie & Ryan Tyler, Minster; grandchildren Nate, Morgan, Jake Gaerke, Conner, Logan, Austin Pavelschak, Lauren, Kendall, Ashley, Drew Tyler; siblings Norma Winner, Minster; Mary Stueve, Minster; Bob & Marlene Riethman, Dublin; and Carol & George Pryhuber, Meridian, Idaho; in-laws Carol & Jim Kemper, Ft. Loramie; Jim & Dianna Borchers, Sidney; and Ray Bornhorst, Anna.
He was preceded in death by in-laws Jack Winner, Bob Stueve and Doris Bornhorst.
Harry was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster and was a graduate of Minster High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Minster American Legion Post #387. He was a member of the Minster Athletic Boosters, Minster F.O.E. #1391 and the Cataract Fire Department. Harry retired from Nidec Minster Corp after 50 years of service. He was a member of the 25 Year Club and the Limited-Edition Club. Harry was a member of the 1965 Minster High School basketball team which competed for a state title. He was a proud coach for his daughters in all sporting activities, which carried over his love for watching his grandchildren in all their activities. He enjoyed watching the UD Flyers, Cincinnati Reds, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cincinnati Bearcats.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. Burial with full military honors to follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 6 from 9 to 9:30 a.m.
