Clarence Staugler
Clarence J. Staugler, age 92 of Coldwater, died on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at EverHeart Hospice in Greenville.
He was born on March 25, 1931 in Coldwater to the late Charles & Catherine (Herman) Staugler. On January 14, 1956, he married Margaret (Billerman) Staugler and she preceded him in 2005.
He is survived by his daughters, Joan & Bill Steinbrunner of Coldwater and June & Rich Branch of Coldwater; grandchildren Lynn Miller, Rob & Stephanie Branch, Andy & Wendy Steinbrunner, Sarah & Jeremy Jansen, and Sam Steinbrunner; great-grandchildren Jaylee & Jacob Miller, Jack Miller, Mackenly Miller, Avery Steinbrunner, Henry & Elliott Jansen, and Lucy Branch; a great-great-grandaughter, Elliana Miller; and siblings and in-laws, Joan Staugler of Coldwater, Rita Staugler of Coldwater.
He was preceded in death by siblings and in-laws, Helen Staugler, Mary Lillian Staugler, Herbert Staugler, Ernestine Staugler, Irene & Ralph Meinerding, Bernard & Kathleen Muhlenkamp, Paul & Irene Staugler, William & Carolyn Staugler, Charles Staugler, Robert Staugler, Ralph & Joan Staugler, Germaine & Anthony Steinbrunner, and Ernie Staugler.
Clarence was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Clarence was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. He loved spending time with his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
