Madonna Rose
Madonna Claire Catherine Rose of Coldwater, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born November 2, 1935, to the late Joseph & Josephine (Depweg Moeller) Wenning. On September 27, 1958, she married Joseph U. Rose at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma and he preceded her on February 11, 2024.
Madonna is survived by her five loving children and their spouses: Robert & Connie Rose (Coldwater); Jean and Marvin Homan (St. Henry); Dan & Michelle Rose (Coldwater); Donald & Linda Rose (Celina); and Joseph & Kimberly Rose (Coldwater); 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and siblings and in-laws: Mark Wenning (St. Henry); Barb Wenning (Coldwater); Regina Hemmelgarn (Piqua); Rita & John Schmitmeyer (Coldwater); Juneta Rose (Dayton); Lucy Rose (Celina); Margie Rose (Coldwater); and Irene Rose (St. Henry).
Preceding Madonna in death is her loving husband, Joe, and siblings and in-laws: Julietta & Ralph Muhlenkamp, Isadore & Alberta Wenning, Norbert & Betty Wenning, Rosemary & Cornelius Muhlenkamp, Rita & Dick Wenning, Hilda & Carl Axe, Fred & Alma Moeller, Martha & H.F. Rawley, Louis & Mary Moeller, Virginia & Harry Streaker, Bernice & Ralph Barge, Kenneth & Marcy Wenning, Velma Wenning, and Joan Wenning, Paul & Margaret Rose, Luke & Edna Rose, Herman Rose, Eleanor & John Hake, Carl Rose, Frederick Rose, Alfred Rose, Berdella & Leonard Hemmelgarn, and Elmer Hemmelgarn.
Madonna was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater. She was a 4-H advisor, a volunteer at the Hospital Gift Shop and the St. Peter Neurological Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday March, 12 from 2 until 8 p.m. and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
