Kathryn Ballinger
Kathryn E. Ballinger, age 88, of Celina, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Trustwell Living at Miller Place in Celina.
She was born July, 17, 1935 in Mercer County to the late Harvey and Clema (Rhoades) Garman. On July 10, 1955 she married Teddy Ballinger and he survives at the residence in Celina.
Other survivors include her children, Diana (Tim) Diller, Columbus Grove, Ohio; Susan (Robert) Huddleston, Fordland, Missouri; and Michael (Susan) Ballinger, Versailles, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Iris Garman, Celina; and four grandchildren, Shawn (Valerie) Ballinger, Pooler, Ga.; Victoria Huddleston, Fordland, Mo.; Mikaela Diller, Delphos, Ohio; and Nathan (Kristin) Diller, Indianapolis, Ind.
Kathryn is also preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis Garman and Bennie (Grace) Garman; and two sisters, Gladys (Ralph) Dillion and Mary Garman.
Kathryn was a 1953 graduate of Celina High School. She retired from Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina after 30 plus years of service. She was an active member of Celina Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes and sharing them with others, teaching Sunday school, working with youth, dressing as a clown for children's events, coaching volleyball in a church league, going to garage sales, word search, adult coloring, crocheting and spending time with family and friends.
Visitation hours will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Celina Church of Nazarene, 900 Fairground Road in Celina with Rev. Chris Riffle officiating; where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.
Memorial contributions can be made to the CHP Home Care & Hospice and/or Celina Church of Nazarene.
