Celia Yenser
Celia A. Yenser, 86, of Watertown, Wis., passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
Celia Ann Collins was born on July 31, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Ellsworth and Mabel (Sluterbeck) Collins.
She was a 1954 graduate of Celina High School. On June 10, 1956 she married Gerald Yenser at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Celina.
Celia was strongwilled and a very loving mother and grandmother. Spending time with her family and attending their various sporting events meant everything to her. She enjoyed watching Wisconsin sports as well as the Ohio State Buckeyes.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Daniel) Bartz of Watertown; four sons: Michael (Rebecca) Yenser of Watertown; Mark (Cathleen) Yenser of Frankfort, Ill.; Douglas (Dawn) Yenser of Vinton, Iowa; and Daniel Yenser of Lowell; grandchildren: Joshua (Mindy) Bartz, Jonathon (Ashley) Bartz, Katrina (Jeremie) Schwartz, Krista (Shaun) Ready, Stuart (Melissa Hacker) Freson, Matthew (Christine) Yenser, Kelly (Scott) May, Nathaniel (Brittany) Yenser, April Yenser, Samantha (Corey) Lindeman, Madison (Benjamin) Wilson, James (Jennifer) Yenser, Jeremy (Kimberly) Yenser, Nicholas (Antonia) Yenser; great-grandchildren: Tyler (Alyssa Rivest) Bartz, Abigail Bartz, Tinley Schwartz, Skyla Schwartz, Jade Schwartz, Amelia Ready, Max Ready, Braydon Freson, Makayla Freson, Allyson Yenser, Joshua Yenser, Conner Yenser, Charlotte Yenser, Owen Yenser, Lucas May, Alexander May, Katelyn May, Aiden Yenser, Caleb Yenser, Emily Yenser, Riley Philips, Hunter Lindeman, Charli Lindeman, Eleanor Wilson, Piper Wilson, Tahlia Yenser, Isaac Yenser, Landon Yenser, Ashton Yenser, Oliver Yenser; sisters: Reni (Jack) Mescher of Saint Marys, Ohio; Nancy Miller of Galion, Ohio; as well as other relatives and friends.
Celia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald on June 21, 2008, two great-grandchildren: Easton Lindeman and Brielle Wilson; sister, Karen (Edward) Long; brother-in-law, Carl Miller.
A funeral service was held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church in Watertown with Rev. Dr. Young Tae Lee officiating.
Relatives and friends gathered at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown.
