Michael Allen Kittle, age 72, of St. Marys, Ohio passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at his residence with his family at his bedside.     

He was born the son of the late Robert and Evelyn (Westerbeck) Kittle in Celina, Ohio on August 20, 1951. On June 10, 1972 he married Janet Schockman, who survives, living in St. Marys.

Michael is also survived by his Three daughters and son-in-law; Michelle Kittle of Celina, Sarah Brown of Troy, MI, Stephanie (Scott) Ross of St. Marys, four grandchildren; Elliott Brown, Will Ross, Ian Brown, Isabella Ross and his siblings Ron Kittle, Cheryl (William) Black, Sandy Kittle all of Celina.

Along with his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Cindy (Harold) Nash and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Leo and Betty Schockman.

He graduated from Celina High School with the Class of 1969. He was a sheet metal worker, his career started with an apprenticeship at Lake Contracting in Celina and he retired from Smith-Boughan in Lima.

Michael was a member of the Celina American Legion Post #210. He loved to ride motorcycles and he owned two Harley-Davidsons. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his kids and grandchildren. A favorite past-time was watching his beloved Cleveland Browns.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Fr. Rob Muhlenkamp officiating.

A memorial gathering will be held for family and friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Lake Hospice 200 St Clair Ave. St. Marys, OH 45885 and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Endowment Fund.
