Connie Temple
Connie Sue Temple, age 77, of Celina, passed away peacefully at her residence on January 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on February 22, 1947, in Celina, she was the cherished daughter of the late Virgil and Loree (Doenges) Nedderman. On August 30, 1968, Connie married her soulmate, Jerry Temple, who survives in Celina. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
Connie is survived by her devoted children, Trevor (Stephanie) Temple of Celina, Tracy (Rick Hutchinson) Temple of Columbus, Ben Wendt of Columbus, Tonya Temple of Celina, and Tiffany Laffin of Celina; her beloved daughter-in-law, Kathy Temple of Celina; eleven grandchildren: Blair, Kylie, Tyler, Tyus, Trey, Tatum, Ethan, Nicolas, Benjamin, Talen, and Tavi; and eleven great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.
She is also survived by her siblings, Danny (Kathy) Nedderman of New Bremen, Linda (Dennis) Hainline of New Bremen, and Lonnie (Deb) Nedderman of Van Wert, along with many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
Connie was preceded in death by her son, Travis Temple, on August 13, 2018, and her brother, Larry Nedderman.
A proud 1965 graduate of New Bremen High School, Connie spent over 20 years working at Huffy Bicycle in Celina until its closing. She later worked at Walmart in Celina, retiring in 2000, the same year her husband, Jerry, retired. She was a faithful member of Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina.
Connie had a zest for life and a heart full of love. She enjoyed cooking for her family, attending Cincinnati Reds games on annual trips with her loved ones, and cheering on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at the Mercer County Fair. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a grandmother who adored her family. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched everyone she met, leaving a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Private funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina, with Rev. Matt Overman officiating. Connie will be laid to rest at Botkins Cemetery in Montezuma during a graveside service.
