Doris Will
Doris Ann Will, age 88, of Celina, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, June 26, 2025 surrounded by her husband of 70 years and her children.
She was born November 21, 1936 in Philothea, Ohio to the late Raymond "Ray" & Leonore (Thien) Homan. She married Jerome (Jerry) Will on May 7, 1955 in Coldwater.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her children; Kathleen (Kathy) & Rick Collins of Union City, IN, Cynthia (Cindy) & Matt Baker of New Bremen, Jerome Jr. (Jerry) & Doris Will of Celina, Marilyn & V.J. Westerheide of Coldwater, Timothy (Tim) & Carol Will of Egypt, Andrew (Andy) & Shirley Will of Celina, Sharon & Alan Hess of Maria Stein, Sandra (Sandy) & Jeff Broering of Cranberry, and Robert (Bob) & Karrie Will of Maria Stein, 27 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by in-laws, Norma Jean Homan and Lillian Gaerke-Homan, Coldwater, Melinda Will, Stockton, CA and Fr. Ron Will C.PP.S., Liberty, MO., step siblings and in-laws, Jerry & Mary Jane Schwartz of Ft. Loramie, Lorraine Schwartz of Coldwater, Lou & Bruce Guy of Dayton and Mike & Vicki Schwartz of Minster.
She was preceded in death by infant daughter Joan Marie Will, in-laws Alfred & Luetta Will, step-mother Vera (Schwartz)Homan, grandson in-law Todd Wuebker, siblings and in-laws, Evelyn & Dave Hale, Eugene Homan, Donald Homan, Dennis Homan, Virgil Will, Leonard Gaerke, Cletus Homan, step siblings and in-laws, Don & Mary Schwartz, and David Schwartz.
Doris Ann was a member of St. Sebastian Church, St. Anne Ladies Sodality, Maria Stein Spiritual Center Piecemakers, and a 30 year member of St Sebastian Choir. Doris Ann loved to paint and created beautiful paintings for each of her children and grandchildren. The paintings often included cardinals, which were her inspiration. She will be remembered for her love of baking. Her treasured recipes live on in the Will family cookbook.
Above all, her love of children, especially babies, was the highlight of her life.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church with Fr. Ron Will C.PP.S. celebrant. A celebration of Doris Ann's life will follow.
The family would like to thank Grand Lake Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for Doris Ann.
