Brody Reigle finished the pavilion at Shanes Park, a project he took on to receive the rank of Eagle Scout. He raised more than $33,000 to cover the cost of materials and coordinated more than 840 volunteer hours of labor to bring the pavilion to completion. Reigle, who is a member of Scouts BSA Troop No. 98, built a 30-foot-by-40-foot pavilion at the park near the pond. The wooden structure is sided, has gutters and has ADA-accessible bathrooms. It provides shade, picnic tables and restrooms to those using the splash pad and the outdoor space nearby. The pavilion marks the second generation and third project from the family to benefit the park and the community. Riegle is seen with village councilors.
