Notice is hereby given that the County of Mercer will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. in the Mercer County Commissioners Office, Central Services Building, 220 West Livingston Street, Room A201, Celina, Ohio.
Based on both citizen input and local officials' assessment of the county's needs, the county is proposing to undertake the following Revolving Loan Fund activity:
The county intends to loan the amount of $200,000 to GHK Enterprises LLC dba Wabash Valley Electric LLC to purchase property at 1012 St. Rt. 219, Fort Recovery. Wabash Valley Electric LLC will create 8 FTE jobs, of which 5 will be offered to or made available to LMI persons; which meets the National Objective.
The total project cost will be $700,000 with funds coming from Revolving Loan Fund of $200,000; Equity $100,000 and Private Lender $400,000.
This second public hearing is being held to give citizens an adequate opportunity to review and comment on the county's proposed application, before the loan is approved.

Notice is given that there will be two public hearings conducted by the Liberty Township Board of Trustees, Mercer County, Ohio, regarding adoption of a resolution to levy an additional tax for the purpose of paying the costs and expenses of enforcing and administering the tax provided for in this section; for the construction, reconstruction, improvement, maintenance, and repair of township roads, bridges, and culverts; for purchasing, erecting, and maintaining traffic signs, markers, lights, and signals; for purchasing road machinery and equipment, and planning, constructing, and maintaining suitable buildings to house such equipment; for paying any costs apportioned to the township under section 4907.47 of the Revised Code; and to supplement revenue already available for such purposes,
The Board of Trustees may levy an annual license tax, in addition to the tax levied by sections 4503.02, 4503.07, and 4503.18 of the Revised Code, upon the operation of motor vehicles on the public roads and highways in the unincorporated territory of the township.
The tax shall be at the rate of five dollars per motor vehicle on all motor vehicles the owners of which reside in the unincorporated area of the Township and shall be in addition to the taxes at the rates specified in sections 4503.04 and 4503.16 of the Revised Code, subject to reductions in the manner provided in section 4503.11 of the Revised Code and the exemptions provided in sections 4503.16, 4503.17, 4503.171, 4503.41, and 4503.43 of the Revised Code.
The Board of Trustees will conduct two public hearings regarding the tax levy, the first hearing will be held on October 24, 2023, at 7:00 P.M., and the second hearing will be held on October 31, 2023, at 7:00 P.M. Both hearings will be held at 9930 State Route 49, Rockford, Ohio 45882.
Immediately following the second hearing the Board of Trustees will conduct a Special Meeting to consider adoption of the resolution.

A cost analysis study has been completed on providing dog control services in Mercer County. At the public hearing, the Board of Mercer County Commissioners will consider the following fees that are suggested by the conclusion of the study:
Adoption Fee: $45.00
Euthanasia of Licensed Dog: $105.00
Receive Licensed Dog at Dog Pound: No Charge
Receive Non-Licensed Dog at Dog Pound: $42.00 (includes dog tag)
Receive Litter Under 3 months at Dog Pound: $25.00
Pick-up Licensed Dog at Owner's Residence: $50.00
Pick-up Non-Licensed Dog at Owner's Residence: $92.00 (includes dog tag)
Shelter Fee for First Day: $40.00
Shelter Fee Per Day Thereafter: $8.00
Receive Dog by Non Mercer County Resident: $150.00
This public hearing is being held to give citizens adequate opportunity to review and comment on the proposed fees. If fee increases are adopted by the Board of Mercer County Commissioners, the fee increases shall become effective January 1, 2024.
