Notice is hereby given that the Mercer County Health District will be considering changes to the Mercer County Household Sewage Treatment System Regulations - Supplementary to Ohio Administrative Code 3701-29
The changes involve language clarification in section 03 - Soil Absorption Requirements to provide for easier comprehension. No substantive changes are proposed. Inclusive language is to be added to 04(B) Operation and Maintenance Management and System Owner Education for clarification in scope and application of the operation permit requirement. A new section, 04 (D) Terms and Conditions of Operating Permits for Privies, is a proposed addition which outlines requirements for those devices.
Hearings on these proposals will be held at the regular session Board of Health meetings on the following dates in 2021: February 10; March 10; and April 14. Decision on adoption of the changes to occur April 14. A copy of the regulation with proposed changes can be viewed at the Mercer County Health District, located at 220 W. Livingston St., Celina - Mercer County Central Services Building, during regular business hours, or upon request can be provided electronically, and will be posted on the website at www.mchdohio.org.

Being all that portion of an alley running due east and west, immediately north of and adjacent to Lots 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 of the August Rutschilling Addition to the Village of St. John, Mercer County, Ohio, as shown on the plat of that addition in the office of the Recorder of Mercer County, Ohio, in Plat Book 2 at Page 16, now Plat Cabinet 2, Page 118.
The Board of County Commissioners has fixed the 12th day of January, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. as the date to VIEW the proposed improvement. The Board will meet at the alley site to be vacated and go over the line of said proposed improvement.

Notice is hereby given that the USDA Rural Development, as required by the National Environmental Policy Act is issuing an environmental assessment (EA) in connection with possible impacts related to a project proposed by Midwest Electric Inc. of St. Marys, Ohio.
Midwest Electric Inc. of St. Marys, Ohio has submitted an application to the USDA Rural Development Rural Business - Cooperative Service, for funding to be used for "Phase IV of the Marion Township Industrial Park. If approved Midwest Electric will provide funds to Mercer County to be used towards infrastructure development for 24 lots to be used for small businesses. The project will be located on an 80-acre tract of undeveloped farmland located at 2572 State Route 716 Maria Stein, Ohio 45860. Once completed the development will aid in non-farm job creation in Mercer County.

USDA Rural Development has conducted an independent evaluation of the environmental assessment and believes that it accurately assesses the impacts of the proposed project. No significant impacts are expected as a result of the completion of this project.

USDA Rural Development will accept questions and comments on the environmental assessment for 14days from the date of publication of this notice.
Any final action by RUS related to the proposed project will be subject to, and contingent upon, compliance with all relevant Federal environmental laws and regulations and completion of environmental review procedures as prescribed by 7 CFR Part 1970, Environmental Policies and Procedures.
