Downtown Rockford fire

Fire destroyed two downtown Rockford businesses buildings Wednesday morning. At 1:45 a.m. Rockford Fire Department was dispatched to a fire at Wildfire Bar and Grill and DJ Automotive in the 100 block of North Main Street. Crews were still on scene at 9:00 a.m. Firefighters from 12 departments responded including Rockford, Mendon, Celina, Chattanooga, Montezuma, Coldwater, St. Henry, Chickasaw, Van Wert City, Ohio City, Wilshire and Wren. An arctic cold front will move through on Sunday afternoon and evening bringing snow showers and dropping temperatures. While accumulations will generally be less than one half inch, quick bursts of snow will lead to reductions in visibility and slick conditions at times. Some snow squalls are possible.
