Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Dennis Katterheinrich
Dennis J. Katterheinrich, 54, 11729 Moulton-New Knoxville Road, New Knoxville, died at 1:05 a.m. Dec. 2, 2006, at his residence. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born June 2, 1952, in Lima, to Howard G. and Gloria H. Hirschfeld Katterheinrich, who are both deceased. On April 20, 1974, he married Carol Altstaettler, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jason (Angela) and Luke, all of New Knoxville; a daughter, Sarah (Timothy) Nichols, New Knoxville; two brothers, Wayne (Deb), Cridersville, and Vaughn (Lisa), Lima; a sister, Rhonda (Russell) Hart, Westfield, Ind.; and a granddaughter.
He was a farmer and in 1976 started his own business, Katterheinrich Repair. He was a 1970 graduate of New Knoxville High School and a member of Only Believe Ministries of Botkins.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Craig Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Contributions can be made to the mission outreach services of the church.
