Theodore Filio
Theodore Filio, 89, 111 Johnson Ave., Celina died at 1:30 a.m. July 10, 2007, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
He was born November 4, 1917, in Newark, N.J., to Stephan and Amelia Bournazos Filio. On July 27, 1940, he married Liberty Gianakos, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Paul S., Cincinnati; a daughter, Valerie S. (Jerry) Carlquist, Beavercreek; and four grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Athena Michaels and Alice Filio.
He was a mechanical engineer at Huffy Bicycles Corp. in Celina and Copeland Corporation in Sidney. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Celina Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5713 and Celina American Legion Post #210.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Dave Dennis officiating. Burial is at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Lima.
There are no calling hours.
