Bonnie I. Slone, age 73, of Whiskey Run Road, Chillicothe, died 5 a.m. July 4, 2008, at her residence.

She was born December 18, 1934, in Wayland, Ky., to Charles and Harriet Waugh Lykins.   

Survivors are eight nephews, Marty and Jim Slone, Columbus, Larry Slone, Chillicothe, Allen Lykins, Wapakoneta, Steve Lykins, Cleveland, Cory Lykins, St. Marys, and Scott and Kevin Hole, Celina; four nieces, Pam Slone. Willow Wood, Donna Koesters and Lisa Lykins both of Celina, and Joelle Lykins, St. Marys.

Deceased are four brothers, Charles, Fred, Quentin and Alvin Lykins, and two sisters, Shelby Slone and Jennie Hole.

She retired from Material Service Corporation, Chicago, Ill., was a senior companion with the Pike County Community Action Committee, and was active with the Pike County Senior Citizens Center.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Thursday, at the Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly, the Rev. Marilyn Collins officiating. Burial is at Allen Chapel Cemetery.   

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
