Larry G. Downam, 60, 813 Murlin St., Celina, died Aug. 18, 2008, at University Hospital, Cincinnati. Death was due to natural causes.

He was born June 23, 1948, in Marion, Ind., to Paul and Beverly Small Downam, who are deceased. On Sept. 30, 1978, he married Sue Gehle, who survives.

Other survivors are two sons, Joseph (Carrie) Gehle, Celina, and Bryan (Alexis) Gehle, Rockford; a daughter, Dawn (Andrew) Hinkle, Cridersville; three brothers, Paul E. II of Tennessee, Robert of Oklahoma, and Jack of California; a sister, Mari (Jerry) Lewter, Chicago, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Deceased is a brother, Harry.

He was retired from St. Marys Hardware. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Fraternal Order of Eagles, both of Celina.

Services are 3 p.m. Saturday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina. Burial is at a later date. The Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct services at the funeral home.
