Ethel Kettler
Ethel M. Kettler, 77, 9291 St. Rt. 274, Anna, died at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 11, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.
She was born March 2, 1931, near Botkins, to Rayburn and Bessie Wenger Howell. On March 10, 1951, she married Eugene Kettler, who survives near Kettlersville.
Other survivors are her children, Steven (Julie) Kettler and Marianne (Phil) Snider, all of Botkins, Sharon (John) Lenhart, Jackson Center, and David (Julie) Kettler, Kettlersville; three sisters, Velma Webb and Patsy (Terry) Fogt, all of Anna, and Ruth Weber, Sidney; a brother, Ralph (RuthAnn) Howell, Anna; and nine grandchildren.
Deceased are a grandson; and two brothers, Russell and Eugene Howell.
She was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. She was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ, Kettlersville, and its Women's Guild. She also was a 1949 graduate of Anna High School and a former member of the Kettlersville/Van Buren Township Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Charles Moeller officiating. Burial is at Willow Grove Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until time of services at the church.
