* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105 possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Consecutive days of excessive heat and humidity can be especially hazardous as warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief. The heat may continue into Wednesday.

Leonard Reier
Leonard A. Reier, 83, 430 North Perry Street, St. Marys, died Nov. 21, 2008, at St. Ritas Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Sept. 23, 1925, in Celina to Albert and Matilda (Zahn) Reier. On June 26, 1948, he married Thelma Kemper, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Bernard (Deb), Madison, Ala.; three daughters, Althea (John) Clugston, Cromwell, Ind., Della (Declan) Santiago, St. Marys, and Ellen (Kevin) Paul, New Knoxville; a brother, Albert, Wapakoneta; a sister, Mary Fiebelkorn, St. Marys; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a granddaughter.
He had retired from Crown Equipment Corporation. He had also worked at Tip and Doe Taxi, Parker Hannifin and St. Marys Hardware. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in WWII. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the VFW Post 9289, American Legion Post 323 and Eagles Lodge 767, all of St. Marys.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Anthony Cutcher officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
