* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105 possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Consecutive days of excessive heat and humidity can be especially hazardous as warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief. The heat may continue into Wednesday.

John Dircksen Jr.
John F. Dircksen Jr., 84, 2547 state Route 364, Egypt, died at 1:53 a.m. Dec. 17, 2008, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 2, 1924, in Shelby County, to John and Mary Meyer Dircksen. On June 25, 1947, he married Anna Marie Heitkamp, who survives.
Other survivors are three sons, Thomas and Jerry (Angi), all of Minster, and John (Angie), New Knoxville; four daughters, Mary Lou (Jim) Nerderman, Versailles, Dorothy (Roger) Moeller, Fort Loramie, Betty (Ron) Marchal, Burkettsville, and Anne, Sidney; a daughter-in-law, Ann Dircksen, Fort Loramie; a sister, Mary Ann Seger, Minster; a sister-in-law, Alfrieda Dircksen, New Bremen; 29 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are a son, Gerard; a daughter-in-law, Judy; three brothers, Henry and his wife, Marie, Albert and his wife, Margaret and Herman; a brother-in-law, Jerry Seger; and a grandchild.
He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, and its men's sodality. He also was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Egypt, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Minster.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Augustine, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
