Ralph Hoyng
Ralph R. Hoyng, 82, New Carlisle, died at 1:08 p.m. Dec. 23, 2008.
He was born March 10, 1926, in Celina, to Urban and Cleopha Stelzer Hoyng. He married Ruth Ann Post, who died Jan. 18, 1993.
Surviving are three daughters, Deborah (Jim) Flint, Brookville, Karen (Fred) Kramer, Dayton, and Pam (John) Moore, Jamestown; two sons, John (Angie) and Larry, all of New Carlisle; two brothers, Gerald (Mainie) and Louis (Dorothy); a sister, Marita Uhlenhake; and six grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Ronald; and two sisters, Mary Lou and Germaine.
He retired from McCauley Aircraft Corp. and THT. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Carlisle, where he served as Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the American Legion, New Carlisle, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Carlisle, the Rev. Michael Bidwell officiating. Burial is at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. today at Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle.
