Southerly winds will increase today ahead of an approaching cold front. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph can be expected with gusts of 35 to 45 mph at times this afternoon. Be sure to secure outdoor objects.

Ann Maltinsky
Ann M. Maltinsky, 81, 240 N. Main St., Minster, died at 9:18 a.m. Dec. 25, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.
She was born May 25, 1927, in Fort Loramie, to Anthony and Josephine DeBrosse Barhorst. On July 31, 1948, she married Paul R. Maltinsky, who survives.
Other survivors are three sons, Lynn (Jeanne), Williamsburg, Va., Greg (Joann), Minster, and Nathan (Chris), Mullis, Mass.; three daughters, Pam, Columbus, Anita (David) Uetrecht, Botkins, and Christine (Jay) Purdy, Minster; a brother, Virgil (Katie) Barhorst, Fort Loramie; a sister, Frances Wagner, Sidney; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Irenus, Robert and Ray Barhorst; two sisters, Agnes Behr and Margaret Monnin; and a great-grandson.
She was a homemaker, seamstress and owner of Maltinsky's Clothing Store. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, where she served as a CCD teacher, a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Resurrection Choir.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
