Etta Phillips
Etta "Mae" Phillips, 64, 423 E. Broadway St., Fort Recovery, died at 1:55 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. Death was from natural causes.
She was born July 19, 1944, in Portland Ind., to Herbert and Bethel Taylor Thornburg. On March 21, 1969, she married Kenneth Phillips Sr., who survives in Rockford.
Other survivors are a son, Gary Casada, Pennville, Ind.; four daughters, Twylia (Kenney) Miller, Muncie, Ind., Connie (Houssam) Hourani, Kathy Casada, and Polly (Todd) Carl, all of Marshalltown, Iowa; two stepsons, Kenneth Phillips Jr. and Mark Phillips, both of Hartford City, Ind.; four stepdaughters, Nickie Hancock and Robyn Cunnington, both of Parker City, Ind., Connie Hall, Albany, Ind., and Teresa Capper, Hartford City, Ind.; a brother, Dave (Marie) Thornburg, Decatur, Ind.; a sister, Lonnie (Charles) Patterson, Dunkirk, Ind.; 23 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Fort Recovery.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, the Rev. Dennis Kelly officiating. Burial is at Springhill Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 9-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
