St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHEN...Until Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:40 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 13.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.2 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Arthur Welker
Arthur "Bud" Welker, 91, St. Marys, died 11:20 a.m. March 13, 2009, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Oct. 11, 1917, in Hillsdale, Mich., to Joseph and Ethel (Vance) Welker. On March 15, 1947, he married Loa Brookhart, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Jim (Sue) Welker, Celina; a daughter, Becky (Jerry) Steinke, Waynesfield; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Walter Welker; and two sisters, Geraldine Gensler and Margaret Taylor.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served as a sergeant during WWII. He was retired from Stamco Corp., New Bremen, where he worked as a hydrotel operator. He was a member of Faith Alliance Church, New Bremen, for nearly 60 years.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Thomas Sager officiating. A luncheon will follow at the fellowship hall of the church. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
