Ruth Ernst
Ruth Christine Fischer Ernst, 82, of Coldwater, died Dec. 26, 2009, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born Oct. 16, 1927, in Delphos, to Henry and Crescentia Elwer Fischer. On June 2, 1951, she married Arthur Ernst, who died Jan. 7, 2001.
Surviving are four children, Jerri (Nick) Schulze, Leo Ernst, and Leon (Becky) Ernst, all of Coldwater, and Marilyn (Dave) Arnold, Celina; two sisters-in-law; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Wayne Ernst; four brothers and four sisters.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and worked as a cook at Briarwood Manor and Community Hospital, both in Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Barry Stechschulte officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater, and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
