Ann Winter
Former Rockford resident Ann Winter, 75, of Tomah, Wis., died Jan. 26, 2010, at the Tomah Health Care Center.
She was born Feb. 16, 1934, in Liberty Township, Mercer County, to William and Alice Deitsch Hoehamer. On April 9, 1957, she married Richard "Dick" Winter, who survives.
Other survivors are a sister-in-law, Rozella Hoehamer, Rockford; a nephew, Robert Hoehamer, Rockford; and two nieces, Susanne Biberstine, Columbus, and Nancy (Joe) Dwenger, Rockford.
Deceased is a brother, Kermit Hoehamer; and an infant sister, Carol Hoehamer.
She had worked at the Fremont Canning Company, Pontius Hardware and the Farmer's Grain Company, all of Rockford, and served as secretary for the Rockford School Alumni Association and the American Legion Auxiliary, Rockford. She was a member of Rockford United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial is at Willard-Mount Hope Cemetery east of Berne, Ind.
