Evelyn Grillot
Evelyn R. Grillot, 94, New Bremen, died at 4:52 p.m. Sept. 1, 2010, at her home.
She was born Dec. 13, 1932, in Versailles, to William and Rose Schulze Parmenter. On Oct. 11, 1952, she married Alfred J. Grillot, who died Feb. 10, 2000.
Surviving are six children, Denis (Deborah) Grillot, Bradford, Michael (Marilyn) Grillot, Franklin, Tenn., Nancy (Bob) Marshal, New Bremen, Janet (Jerry) Luthman, Versailles, Dale (Mary) Grillot, New Bremen, Keith (Annette) Grillot, Commerce Township, Mich.; a sister, Mary Leugers, Greenville; two brothers, Charlie (Norma) Parmenter, Ludlow Falls, and Paul (Karen) Parmenter, Piqua; three in-laws, Marion (Emily) Grillot, Russia, Gertie Glaser, Kettering, and Hazel Parmenter, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Also deceased is a brother, Joseph Parmenter; and a brother-in-law, Charles Leugers.
She was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen, where she served as secretary for 20 years. She was a member of the New Bremen Senior Citizens and was a 1950 graduate of Versailles High School.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial is at the German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen and 9:30-10 a.m. Monday at the church, where the rosary will be prayed.
Memorials can be made to the State of the Heart Hospice, the American Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
