Bertha Selhorst
Bertha A. Selhorst, 88, Coldwater, died at 5:32 p.m. Sept. 23, 2010, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born June 19, 1922, in Sidney, to Fred and Johanna (Mertz) Benanzer Sr. On May 30, 1945, she married Ludwig F. Selhorst, who died Aug. 16, 1990.
Surviving are three children: Jane (Dale) Meier, Versailles; Dave (Cindy) Selhorst, Coldwater, and Sue (Charles) Seitz, Coldwater; a son-in-law, Bruce Stover, Van Wert; seven grandchildren; a sister, Leona Hoke, St. Louis, Mo., a brother, Fred Benanzer Jr., Piqua, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Rebecca Stover, two grandchildren, three brothers, Urban Benanzer, Albert Benanzer and Edward Benanzer, and two sisters, Henrietta Wuebker and Eleanor Wuebker.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater, St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality and the Coldwater Eagles Auxiliary. She retired from the former Mersman Plant in Celina.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Richard Walling officiating. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
