Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Norbert Sanders
Norbert L. Sanders, 78, Virginia Beach, Va., died June 10, 2010.
He was born April 14, 1932, in Mercer County, to Gerald and Viola Sanders. He married Michele Rolande, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Dwight Sanders, Houston, Texas, and George Sanders, Macomb, Mich.; several siblings; three granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter, Geraldine "Mimi" Monday.
He worked as an administrator of security command in the U.S. Government. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Graveside rites with military honors are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Burge Cemetery in Montezuma.
