Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Juanita Aller
Juanita Rose Felver Aller, 96, Lima, died at 3:35 a.m. March 13, 2011, at Lima Memorial Health System in Lima.
She was born Oct. 16, 1914, in Mercer County, to Moses and Edith Ralston Felver. On June 24, 1932, she married, Dallas E. Aller, who died in 1988.
Surviving are a son, Vernon (Marilyn) Aller, Elida; three daughters, Betty (Dr. Gene) Boyd, Rockford, Ill., Evelyn (Dr. Joseph) Now, Celina, and Edith (Bill) Pulford, Indian Lake; 16 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are eight siblings, Emmett, Everett, Dean, Richard, Charles, Venna, Kathryn and Evelyn.
She was a member of the Rousculp Church of Christ and its Ladies Aid Society.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Eastside Chapel Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes in Lima. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima at a later date.
Calling is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the church or the American Heart Association.
