The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Raymond Rosengarten
Raymond E. Rosengarten, 85, Wapakoneta, died at 4:40 p.m. April 24, 2011, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 29, 1925, in Mercer County, to Julius and Frances Lump Rosengarten. On June 21, 1950, he married Margaret F. Huelskamp, who survives.
Also surviving are five children, Mark (Donna) Rosengarten, Beaverville, Ill.; Joseph (Terri) Rosengarten, Green Bay, Wis.; Kathy Miller, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Thomas (Georgeanne) Rosengarten, Wapakoneta, and Karen (Peter) Lauer, South Bend, Ind.; two brothers, Victor (Sandy) Rosengarten and Carl Rosengarten, all of Wapakoneta; two sisters, Henrietta (Richard) Welsh, Lakeview, and Esther Eagy, Rushylvania; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three sisters, Lucille Bellamy, Alice Geise and Alfreda Case, and a brother, Richard Rosengarten.
A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, he retired from Civil Service and later from the Wapakoneta Daily News. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II in the European and Pacific Theaters.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, where military rites will be conducted by the Wapakoneta Veterans of Foreign Wars following the Mass. Private family burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Fryburg.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.
