* WHERE...The following counties, in Indiana, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne, the following counties, in Kentucky, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and the following counties, in Ohio, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.

Larry Kunkle
Larry Lee Kunkle, 71, Portland, Ind., died Sept. 26, 2011, at his residence.
He was born April 22, 1940, in Union City, Ind. to Merle K. and Hazel G. (Greaf) Kunkle. On Nov. 25, 1960, he married Lone Just-Madsen of Copenhagen, Denmark, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Kim Horine, Dayton, and Lori Lewellen, Gahanna; a son, Michael Kunkle, Portland, Ind.; a brother, Robert Kunkle, Portland, and eight grandsons.
He was a graduate of Madison Twp. High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Teledyne Portland Forge and was a lifelong farmer in Madison Twp. He was a member of American Legion Post #211 in Portland and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Fort Recovery.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland, the Rev. Larry Eads presiding. Burial will be in Salamonia Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Portland American Legion.
Calling is 2-4 and 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Madison School Scholarship Fund through the Portland Foundation or State of the Heart Hospice.
