* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Ervin Cox
Ervin Michael Cox Jr., 64, Venedocia, died at 7:50 p.m. Oct. 21, 2011, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 26, 1947, in Van Wert to Ervin Michael Sr. and Helen Irene Fronefield Cox. On Nov. 1, 1969, he married Nancy Jo Grimm, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Chad Michael Cox, Venedocia, and Mindy Jo (Bill) Barnhart, Weston; brothers, Walter L. (Betty) Cox, Ohio City, and John R. Cox, Van Wert; and two grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Eva VanFleet.
He was a 1966 graduate of Van Wert High School and served in South Korea with the U S. Army in the 19th General Support Group. He was a CNC lathe operator at Federal Mogul until retirement in 2002.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Van Wert. He was a member of American Legion Post 178, VanWert, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, Celina. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Scott Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Venedocia Cemetery. Military service at graveside will be conducted by the combined honor guard of the VFW and the American Legion.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, and one hour prior to service Wednesday at the church.
Memorials can be made to the church, CHP Hospice in Delphos or Bowling Green Christian Academy.
