Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Data show migration of youth from area not prevalent

Some local officials and recent political candidates cited brain drain as an issue for the Grand Lake area; however the 2010 Ohio Census tells another story.
Data show only a small percent of graduates are leaving the area for better jobs, and Mercer County's population dropped minimally - only 0.3 percent since 2000. Census officials project an increase in Mercer County's population for 2020 and 2030. [More]
